THE GEOLOGICAL SURVEY

The other night I was watching a Star Treck series about the Borg and their attempts to assimulate the Enterprise into the cooperative. I realized, there was a nice comparision between the Borg and the Wyoming Geological Survey. The management at the Wyoming Geological Survey can best be described as SLOW BORG.  They are slow to work, not very bright, generate no new ideas, do whatever they can to avoid work and whatever they are told by the Queen Borg. But unlike the Borg, they are little threat to our universe as they work too slow to assimulate anything of value, and like the theory of relatively, they work sooooo slow, that they seem to be working backwards through time relative to the rest of us.    

 

BIG BANG

The big bang theory intriques me. Astronomers tend to limit the beginning of the Universe to a single big bang- the very start of our universe some time ago. I have a difficult time with this as this can not be the beginning nor the end. All logic insists that in order to have a beginning, something had to start this and create it. So if the universe does slow and collapse on itself, all mass as it is compacted will be crushed to its smallest denominator - energy. At that point, the universe will loose its gravitational component and radiate expanding until the intense heat begins to dissapate. At this time, energy will clump or precipitate mass as the universe continues to expand. Now don't ask me to do the mathematics, I had enough of a problem with college algebra.

HUMAN CAUSE GLOBAL WARMING

Now there's a joke. What is behind this hoax? For those of you who may still be influenced by politicians, ask yourself, who caused all of the hundreds of global warming events before mankind? Were the Dinos actually driving around the earth in large SUVs?

 

If there is mankind global warming - must be caused by Al Gore. He has one of the highest electric bills for a private citizen in Tennessee.

 

Gobal warming? All one needs to do is examine geological history to see that the past is filled with constant non-human climatic changes. We are told that release of CO₂ by mankind is spiraling us into a no-return global warming event - yet there are many substantiated events in geological history that provide facts to the contrary. M.A. Kaufman recently reported in the Northern Miner (October, 2007, v. 93, no. 33) that researchers from the University of Ottawa have documented a 440 million year old even when CO₂levels were >16 times what they are today, yet the world was subjected to an ice age!  At another time in geologic history, dramatic increases in volcanic activity resulted in dramatic rises of CO₂ atmospheric levels which were >1000 times that of today - yet here we are, we did not move into a Venetican atmosphere as some of these scam artists would suggest. 

 

Evidence supports that we are currently at a short break in the the last ice age within one of the interglacial cycles.  Global warming should not be the concern - we need to be concerned about what happens when this interglacial cycle ends. During the peak of the Winconsinian ice age 20,000 years ago, Asia, Europe and North America were covered by continental ice sheets that were 1000 feet thick. Next time you are worried about the ocean levels rising, think what would happen to North America if we again had ice sheets covering the continent that were 1000 feet thick.

 

During a medieval interglacial warming period between the 14th century to early 19th centuries, the northern portions of the earth warmed to such a degree that the Vikings colonized Greenland and subsisted on local agriculture while tremendous drought plagued the American West. And then this warming period abruptly ended causing the Vikings to relocate and the ice sheets to expand so much that the ice cap surrounded Iceland making it unnavigable.  Severe snowstorms were recorded and more snow precipitated than had ever been seen before or since. Then 1850, this little ice age suddenly ended. There is more than a billion years of evidence showing that global climate dramatically changes gradually and abruptly and is the result of many natural factors including volcanic activity, magnetic pole migration, magnetic pole reversals, orogeny (mountain buliding), continental drift, and solar activity to name a few). So who are you going to believe? Al Gore or Mother Earth?

 

NOBEL PRIZE

How come the media never mentions the Gore family and where their money came from?  Aren't you curious?  I am. I've been told by a relative of Al Gore that the Gore family created the largest and most expensive superfund site in North America with Lead and Zinc mills and smelter in the Mississippi Valley lead zinc district.  Global warming? Come on - how many people froze to death this past winter. It is sad, but the Nobel Prize now means absolutely nothing. Giving one away to a politician with a special interest agenda shows that the Nobel Prize committee has no credentials.
